Sand

It's a bit of a bummer when you turn up to your go-to spot with the right swell & wind only to find the lack of sand, or the shape of the sand rendering the surf pretty much useless. It's a real bummer when it happens again & again for what seems like forever! The waves above are of course benefiting from some well placed sand, good times.

Close Outs

I reckon I've ridden a stack of close outs so far this year. The sand's been really average. I'm wondering is it because there was very little north swell to shape it? A penny for your thoughts, so to speak...

Sand

Avoca has a number of well formed, often quite shallow sand banks at the moment. Plenty of small but really fun waves have been ridden this week. We don't want to corrupt the natural sand movements that create these banks by letting the Government discard a 4000 tonne warship on the beach.
