Brief Seconds
"Brief seconds yet a culmination of endless hours on a board. These fleeting moments of exhilaration and release are days, months, years of time and experience."
Fred Wardy in Surfer Magazine (Aug 2005)

"I'll ride anything. Stand up on a bodyboard, longboard, shortboard, anything."

Monstrosity
I know my wife for one thinks these are gawdy monstrosities, but I can't help but have some fun with colour every now and then. Apologies if you share her view! Jake Foster getting loose in his well ventilated steamer.

Why?
On looking at this image I'm left wondering why on Earth I was still standing on the shore with waves like this going unridden?

Keep Doing It
"I've come to believe that surfing is as deep and meaningful as one wants it to make it. At the same time, surfing is as shallow and light as pure fun can be. Do it for whatever reasons a person can want, but keep doing it."
Gerry Lopez in Surf Is Where You Find It (2008).

Rock 'n' Roll
Don't forget to put the clock forward an hour tonight, daylight savings is back already. Good for after work crew, not so good for early risers.

Grey Day
One month of Spring down and it's been surprisingly good with a consistent run of south swells keeping us busy.

Grom Zone
School holidays are on. Grommies will no doubt be surfing themselves ragged all over the coast. This was a small Autumn arvo and they were all over it.

Sand
It's a bit of a bummer when you turn up to your go-to spot with the right swell & wind only to find the lack of sand, or the shape of the sand rendering the surf pretty much useless. It's a real bummer when it happens again & again for what seems like forever! The waves above are of course benefiting from some well placed sand, good times.

V Bottom Slide
Local surfboard restorer David Platt sliding what from memory was first surf on a freshly restored vintage v bottom. Having a load of fun too.
